Samsung Telecommunications and Verizon Wireless introduced their new SCH-A870 cell phone which can be purchased for $49.99 after $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year customer agreement. The phone comes with a clamshell design and features Bluetooth connectivity, speakerphone, integrated web browser, camera module with video recording, and built-in music/video player. Other features include VZ NavigatorSM’s Location Based Services, VoiceSignal’s speech recognition, and VibeTonz technology which allows you to download games and ringtones. Samsung SCH-A870 provides 128×160 pixel, 65K TFT Color for internal display screen and 96 x 96 Pixel, 65K STN for external display screen. Dimensions are 3.6 inches x 1.8 inches x 0.85 inches. Its battery has up to 200 minutes of talk time and up to 170 hours of standby time.

The Sony Ericsson M600i is aimed at business users. The phone has a full QWERTY keypad which makes easy to type messages. M600i is also feature a large 2.6 inch QVGA display, BlackBerry-style jog dial for sifting through messages, 80MB built-in memory, an extra 64MB Memory Stick Micro (M2), and all the business applications such as BlackBerry Connect, Ericsson Mobile Office, etc. Read the review at TrustedReviews.

Motorola will begin to offer the Moto RAZR phone with a variety of tattoos later this year. Designed by Ami James of Miami Ink fame, the tattoo will be laser etched into the cover of the phone. He created a variety of pieces for Motorola, but so far the company has only shown off a model with a traditional dragon design. No word on pricing yet.

UBiQUiO 501 is a slim Smartphone that features a 200MHz Texas Instruments OMAP 750 processor, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, 2.5 inch TFT-LCD display, 2.0MP digital camera, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. Powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, the smartphone measures only 1.4cm thick. It will be priced at $567. No word yet on availability.

The Sagem my501C is a GPRS mobile phone that features a 1.8 inch, 128 x 160 pixel display in 65,000 colors, an integrated 1.3MP camera with x8 digital zoom and video functions, and an MP3 player with dedicated 32Mb memory and a microSD card reader. The phone offers MMS, WAP 2.0, Java technology and dual-band, Bluetooth and SyncML features. It will be released this August 2006.
