Samsung will be shipping the new Guru 100 phone to India. It comes with MP3 ringtones, 9-hour battery life, and mobile tracker. The MP3 ringtones come with 2 preloaded popular Bollywood tunes. Other features include a 3.86cm 128×128 pixels color display, Hinglish SMS support, speaker phone, and 500 contacts phone book capacity. It’s going for about $50 in India. [IndiaNews]

Nokia has just developed its Morph concept handset created by people from the University of Cambridge. The Morph is based on nanotechnology developments and has a detachable speaker that either clips onto the ear as a headset or connects to the main phone as a speaker. The phone uses nanotechnology to provide a touch screen display that is both translucent and flexible. Here is a sneak peek at the new cell phone by Sony Ericsson called the W980. It features a 2.2-inch display, 3.15-megapixel camera, 8GB of built-in memory, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and USB 2.0 connectivity, as well as an FM transmitter. [AVING]

Here’s another low-end cell phone by Motorola that was showcased in both the CES and Mobile World Congress called the W270. The W270 features support for Hinglish and seven African languages, Motorola’s CrystalTalk technology, FM radio with RDS, a dedicated music key for the digital audio player ( iMelody, MIDI, MP3, AMR), a microSD card slot for cards up to 2GB, and GPRS. The Edge concept phone by Chris Owens features an etched glass keypad with LEDs and a camera. To answer any incoming calls all you have to do is slide the glass keyboard out. The embedded LED creates a glowing affect lighting up the glass when you get a call. The Edge also features microphone wiring that functions as a keyboard border. All I have to say is awesome!
