Samsung Haptic AMOLED Mobile Phone in South Korea

Samsung has announced a spanking new 3G full touchscreen cellphone known as Haptic AMOLED. The handset uses 3.5-inch AMOLED display that provides high resolution 800 x 480 pixel resolution and a 180-degree viewing angle. Available in Korea via SK Telecom, KT and LG Telecom, the phone will retail for approximately $700. Other features include DivX, H.264, MPEG4 and AC-3 support, version 2.0 of the Haptic UI, T-DMB compatibility, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity and a navigation support. [Oled Display]

Samsung Jet Goes To Korea As W850 / W8500 / W8550

Samsung has finally launched the Jet S8000 smartphone in Korea, which will be available in three different versions namely the Samsung W850, Samsung W8500 and Samsung W8550. All three handsets are actually the same, but they have different names for the carriers they’ll be available on: SK Telecom, KTF and LG Telecom. As for the specs itself, the W850 / W8500 / W 8550 is equipped with a 3.5-inch WVGA AMOLED display, a 5MP autofocus camera, Samsung’s latest TouchWiz 2.0 UI, a media player, a DMB support, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The new Motorola Clutch i465 will be available via Sprint this summer onwards with a new service agreement for 2 years costing $39.99, $20 instant rebate and $50 mail-in rebate. It is actually the first iDEN Nextel Direct Connect handset with a full QWERTY keyboard. The i465 also has group messaging features that allows you to create groups of 20 people. What makes this phone more cool is that it meets Military Specification 810F for low pressure; high and low temperature, dust, shock, vibration and solar radiation. The latest firmware update for the Nokia N97 portable cellphone-computer will be available for download on July 4th, 2009. It is said that the new update will help resolve some issues folks had with the handset. We hope that the firmware update is also fix numerous bugs on the handset. Philips Xenium X630, New Candybar With Long-Lasting Battery

Philips has unveiled their latest handset namely the Philips Xenium X630 that boasts a super long battery life. This new candybar phone comes with a 1530 mAh battery capable of lasting up to 12 hours in talk-time, or up to 50 days in stand-by time. Other interesting specs include a 2.4-inch QVGA display with 262k colors, a 3.2MP camera, a music player, an FM radio, a microSDHC card slot (up to 8GB) and Bluetooth with A2DP.
