Sony Ericsson has collaborated with China Mobile to release the new Sony Ericsson A8i. The smartphone is fully support China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network. The handset comes equipped with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera with a 4x digital zoom and a LED flash, CMMB mobile TV and Wi-Fi connection. Measuring 117mm x 59mm x 14mm and weighing 136 grams, the Sony Ericsson A8i also has a 200MB of internal storage, which is upgradable via a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). Its battery provides enough juice for up to 7-hour of talk time and up to 260-hour of standby time. [Press Release]

Here’s a look at another upcoming Android smartphone from LG, the E720 Optimus Chic. This entry-level phone will feature a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, a 3.2-inch 240 x 400 touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and run on Android 2.2 Froyo OS. Dual SIM Nokia C1-00 And C2 Hits India

Folks in India are now able to buy the Nokia’s first dual SIM phones, the C1-00 and C2. Priced at 1,999 INR (about $42), the Nokia C1-01 features a 128 x 160 pixels TFT color screen, a 3.5mm headset jack, an FM radio, SMS, flashlight, and up to six weeks of stand-by time. Meanwhile, the Nokia C2 retails for 2,500 INR ($54). The handset allows two SIM cards to be functional at the same time and features S40 UI, GPRS, Nokia Life Tools, Stereo FM radio with FM recording, a 3.5mm headset jack, a VGA photo camera, and a MicroSD card support. Motorola XT300 Slider Unveiled

Motorola today unveiled their latest Android-powered handset namely the XT300. It is actually a portrait slider with a full QWERTY keyboard that looks very usable. The picture shows that the upcoming Motorola XT300 will feature a 3.2-megapixel camera. Too bad, there is no further info about this handset at this time. Watch the video after the jump. More

The all new BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 will finally make its way to T-Mobile USA on September 8th. This smartphone will be sold for $79.99 with a new 2-year contract agreement. To refresh your memory, the handset is packed with a 2.46-inch 320 x 240 display, a 2-megapixel camera, a QWERTY keyboard. a 256MB RAM, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on BlackBerry OS 5. Motorola has released not one but three new Android smartphones in the Chinese market. The Motorola MT810 (aka Moto Beihai) is available via China Mobile and uses OPhone OS 2.0. The phone features a 3.2-inch screen, TD-SCDMA, mobile TV, “a suite of pre-loaded intelligent business applications”, a 720p HD video playback, and D1 (720 x 480) video recording. The Motorola XT806 (Qilin) is powered by Android 2.1 OS and is launched by China Telecom. The phone supports CDMA/EVDO and GSM connectivity, a 3.2-inch display, GPS, and an HD (720p) video recording. And finally, the China Unicom’s Motorola A1680 (also known as Moto Lucky 3G) comes jam packed with a 3.1-inch AMOLED display, WAPI, Wi-Fi, GPS, “a sixth-generation SoftStylus handwriting system”, access to Motorola SHOP4APPS, and a 5MP camera.
