Samsung Galaxy Z Arrives In Sweden

Samsung has announced the availability of the Galaxy Z in Sweden. In case you didn’t know, the Galaxy Z features a 4.2-inch Super Clear LCD touchscreen, a 1GHz dual-core nVidia Tegra 2 and a 5MP digicam with 720p HD video recording capabilities. The handset also has an 8GB of internal storage space, which is expandable via a microSD card slot. Additional specs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, and GPS. Measuring 125.3mm × 66.1mm × 9.5mm and weighing 135 grams, the Samsung Galaxy Z is now available for pre-order via Three for SEK 3,995 or around $630 without a contract. [GSM Arena]

Tron Movie-inspired Smartphone

Raul Galindo has designed the “Tron Phone”, which is inspired by the American Sci-Fi thriller “Tron”. The handset comes with an elongated heptagon shape and body structure. Measuring at just 7mm thick, the Tron Phone features a 4-inch wide touchscreen display, front and back cameras with a xenon flash, a stereo speaker and a micro SD slot. [Design Buzz]

Samsung has just announced a new Android smartphone for Sprint namely the Samsung Conquer 4G. The handset sports a 3.5-inch HVGA display, a 1GHz processor, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 3.2MP rear-facing camera, a side-sliding physical QWERTY keyboard, 4G speeds via WiMax network and runs on Android 2.3 OS. Nokia has unveiled the C5-00 5MP, which is actually the C5-00 with a few things added. Weighing at 95 grams, the new handset features a 5MP digital camera, a 256MB RAM, and a 270MB of internal storage. The Nokia C5-00 5MP also has a 2.2-inch (240×320) display, GPS, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, an FM radio, quad-band GSM, dual-band WCDMA (900/2100) with 10.2Mbps HSDPA and 2Mbps HSUPA and a 1050mAh battery. The phone runs on the Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 (S60 3.2.2). The Nokia C5-00 5MP will be launched in the third quarter of 2011. [AllAboutSymbian]

SaskTel will launch the Samsung Galaxy 550 (i5500) in Canada. For your info, the phone has a 2.8-inch (240×320) capacitive touchscreen, a 600MHz processor, a 2MP camera with video recording capabilities, a 170MB of internal storage space, a microSD card support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 1200mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy 550 runs on the Google Android 2.1, which is upgradeable to Android 2.2 Froyo. Motorola has unveiled the world’s first dual-core TD-SCDMA Android Smartphone for the Chinese market. Known as the MT870, the handset is packed with a 4.0-inch 540 x 960 capacitive touchscreen display, a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, a 512MB RAM, an 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a front-facing VGA camera, a rear-facing 8.0-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, 1080p Full HD video playback support, GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, a 1880mAh battery and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
