BQ To Launch Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition Smartphone

Spanish company BQ is gearing up to launch the first Ubuntu smartphone for the European market. Called the Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition, this mid-range smartphone is built with a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 touchscreen display, a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor, a 1GB RAM and an 8GB of internal storage. Coming with dual SIM card slots, the handset sports a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera with dual LED flash. Finally, it runs on Ubuntu operating system. The BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition will be available across Europe next week for 169.90 Euro (about $192) unlocked.
