The iPhoneSIMfree.com team claims that they have successfully cracked Apple’s iPhone SIM lock system. The six-man team has been working non-stop since launch day, and they’re officially the first to break Apple’s SIM locks on the iPhone. They created a software which completely SIM unlocks the iPhone. It is restore-resistant, and should make the iPhone fully functional for users outside of the US.

Apple has recently released iPhone Software Version 1.0.2, which is the second update to the handheld’s software. According to Apple, version 1.0.2 “includes bug fixes and supersedes all previous versions.” iPhone Software Version 1.0.2 is available through the Check for Updates feature in iTunes.
