BenQ-Siemens will launch the new EF61 cell phone in Taiwan soon. The phone is a beautifully designed clamshell with 1.8-inch TFT LCD color screen capable of displaying 260k colors at 128 x 160 pixel resolution. It also has a MP3 player with 1.3MP CMOS camera which gives 4x digital zoom. This handset also has Bluetooth connectivity and microSD card slot for additional storage. The Ben-QSiemens EF61 weighs just 99grams with the dimensions of 88mm x 46mm x 23mm.

The Butterfly edition of BenQ-Siemens AL26 measures 86.8 mm x 45.8 mm x 19.2 mm. It is a tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) phone that comes with a nice and eye-catching butterfly design made of pearl shell. The phone is planned to hit the Europe and Latin America store in the middle of September 2006. AL26 Butterfly edition features a large 130 × 130 65K colors TFT LCD display, diary, reminder, polyphonic ringtone, currency calculator, SMS/MMS, and PC synchronization capability through USB connection. Weighing 77.9 grams, it has 1.5MB of onboard memory and a Li-Ion battery which provides up to 300 minutes talk time and up to 220 hours standby time. No info on pricing yet.

BenQ Siemens released a new limited edition phone in Germany, the S68 Ceramic edition, which has a body made up of different materials. The phone is made from stainless steel, while its back cover is made from ceramics formed at 1350 degrees Celsius. This type of ceramic is used in automobile brakes. BenQ Siemens claims that it can make up a good resistant against scratches. The phone will be available this August with the price of 499 Euros or equal to $635.

BenQ-Siemens SL91 offers a 3.2MP digital camera, 2 Inch TFT-LCD display (240 x 320 pixels), microSD card slot, and 32MB of internal memory. Its shiny black shell is illuminated by a ‘ring of light’ to indicate whether you’ve missed a call or received an SMS.
