Designed by Sudhanwa Chavan from India, the i Roll concept phone features a retractable OLED touchscreen that provides all the necessary functions. When the screen is not in use, it will remain folded inside a central column. There is an OLED surface on the outer casing of the i Roll, which displays various information such as incoming phone calls, emails and messages. What’s more, the central column of the phone shows different colors to indicate the battery status. [Coroflot]

Raul Galindo has designed the “Tron Phone”, which is inspired by the American Sci-Fi thriller “Tron”. The handset comes with an elongated heptagon shape and body structure. Measuring at just 7mm thick, the Tron Phone features a 4-inch wide touchscreen display, front and back cameras with a xenon flash, a stereo speaker and a micro SD slot. [Design Buzz]

Dr. Vertegaal will introduce the PaperPhone smartphone prototype at the upcoming Association of Computing Machinery Computer Human Interaction 2011 conference in Vancouver. It is a flexible phone, which is made of a 9.5cm diagonal thin flexible E-Ink display. The flexible form of the display makes it much more portable that any current mobile computer. The Sophie is a new concept from Mac Funamizu. It is actually an iPhone dock/case that prints photos just like a Polaroid camera.
