Mobiado CPT002 Aston Martin Concept Phone

The Canadian luxury mobile phone maker Mobiado and the British luxury car brand Aston Martin have collaborated to create the CPT002 concept phone. With the Mobiado CPT002, you can unlock your Aston Marton supercar simply by approaching it. The phone also links with the car’s GPS system to provide a new level experience with social networking sites. Foursquare will show the car’s location and display your nearby friends right on the dashboard display. The Mobiado CPT002 Aston Martin phone also has accident-focused technology that uses the phone’s accelerometer to aid in the deployment time of airbags and other injury-preventing in-car features. The Mobiado CPT002 Aston Martin will be introduced at Baselworld in Switzerland. More

Traccia Pen-like Phone Concept

by Johan on October 8, 2010

The Traccia phone by designer Andrea Ponti is a phone that recognizes hand movements and converts the same into commands. An embedded optical sensor (like optical mouse laser) located at the end of the stick (phone) detects the traces of what is being written and a software then converts them into text, commands and functions. Sadly, it is only a concept so far. [TheDesignBlog]

The Mozilla Seabird is part of the Mozilla Labs’ Concept Series. This futuristic handset is an experiment in how users might interact with their mobile content as devices and technology advances. The Mozilla Seabird features a Bluetooth earpiece, which integrates an IR sensor so you can wave it around and pan around on the phone just by moving the Bluetooth earpiece. There are also a couple of pico projectors. The first pico projector displays the phone’s screen menu on a wall, while the secondary pico projector projects a “virtual keyboard” onto a flat surface for users to type on. The Exo also features a 1.5GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 5-megapixel wide angle camera, a high capacity Lithium Ion battery and a 3.8-inch flexible OLED display, making the phone even more resilient to shocks and interactions. Sadly, it is only a concept at this time. Find out more pictures after the jump to get more details. More
