
Samsung has officially announced the availability of the Google Nexus S (SHW-M200) in the South Korean market. This Android smartphone will be released in South Korea via KT and SKT. The Google Nexus S (SHW-M200) features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with curved glass screen, a 1GHz processor, a 5MP camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, a 16GB of internal storage, a gyro sensor and an NFC. Here is good news for folks who are living in Canada. The Google Nexus S will be available in that region in March 2011. According to Mobilicity CEO Dave Dobbin, the handset will be available on the company’s AWS band. Additionally, Bell, Telus, and Rogers will also carry the Nexus S. The world’s first Gingerbread (Android 2.3) handset is now available for pre-order via the Carphone Warehouse. The phone is available for free on 24-month, £35-a-month deals with all of the operators and for £20 ($31) a month you can expect to pay between £219.99 ($347) and £249.99 ($395) for the device. Google has officially released the latest version of their mobile OS, Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The company has also released the SDK for Android 2.3 to developers. Folks in Canada are now able to purchase the Google Nexus One and BlackBerry Curve 3G via Mobilicity. The Google Nexus One is priced at $549.99, which is an unsubsidized, no-contract price. Meanwhile, the BlackBerry Curve 3G retails for $299.99 with no contract. As a reminder, the Nexus One has a 3.7-inch touchscreen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an Android 2.2 Froyo and an illuminated trackball.
