Sprint has announced the availability of the Kyocera Duramax. This rugged flip phone supports Sprint’s Direct Connect Push-To-Talk service, a 3-megapixel digital camera with LED flash and video recording support, a microSD card slot for storage expansion, a 2.5mm stereo headphone jack and a GPS navigation. The handset is encased in a non-slip Dura-Grip material for sure hold and extra durability. Sprint sells the Kyocera Duramax for $69.99 with a new two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate. KDDI Releases Kyocera DIGNO Waterproof Smartphone

KDDI is ready to release the Kyocera DIGNO in the Japanese market. Measuring 8.7mm thick and weighing 30 grams, the waterproof handset supports WiMAX and 3G, allowing user to enjoy up to 40Mbps of download speed. Powered by the Google Android 2.3 OS, the Kyocera DIGNO features an OLED display with toughened glass to make it more durable, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a front-facing VGA camera, mobile TV support, mobile wallet service, and infrared data transmission. Willcom Japan will release the new Kyocera Liberio in the Japanese market. The entry-level handset comes equipped with a 2-inch QVGA display, a 3-megapixel digital camera, an infrared, Adobe Flash support, and an e-mail client. Sprint and Kyocera will launch a new entry-level Android phone, the Kyocera Milano.
