The FCC today blessed the Motorola ROKR E6 with an approval nod. This candy bar style music phone has a large touch screen instead of a keypad, with a few RAZR style buttons for navigation below. It runs Motorola’s pen-based Linux OS, indicating it is designed for Chinese markets, which is likely why it only features GSM 1900. The E6 also has a full size SD slot, Bluetooth support, FM transmitter, and a 2MP digicam with macro mode.

Motorola’s candybar-style phone will feature a 2.4-inch (240 x 320) QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 1.2, a microSD card slot, and 50MB of internal memory. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced. Via Gizmodo.

Vodafone has announced 24 3G mobile phones. One of them looks exclusive to Vodafone, the Motorola V1100 HSDPA flip phone. It is a clamshell phone that is similar to the Motorola RAZR. The V1100 will be equipped with Mobile TV, Vodafone Radio DJ, as well as a 1.3MP digicam. The Motorola V1100 should be available some time around the holiday season. The red campaign is an organization created by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise awareness for The Global Fund by making red versions of different products. One of these products is the upcoming Red RAZR for the Sprint CDMA network. Its pricetag will be US$289.99, and come with a 1.3MP digicam, Bluetooth and a micro SD slot.

FCC has approved the Motorola FOMA M702iG cell phone. The M702iG is geared up for mobile internet and offers a full-featured email client. FOMA, which stands for Freedom of Mobile databox Access, is based on W-CDMA standards, so you can imagine blazing speeds when accessing data on this cell phone. Moreover, the phone also supports video calling and a 2MP camera. Other features on the M702iG include Bluetooth connectivity, infra red, English-Japanese dictionaries, and support for microSD memory cards. No word on pricing and availability yet.
