The NEC N-02E ONE PIECE smartphone has been unveiled at Japan’s CEATEC trade show. Created for Japanese wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo, the N-02E ONE PIECE smartphone features a simulated ship deck exterior in faux wood, exclusive digital content, sounds, and backscreen of ONE PIECE characters. The NEC MEDIAS ES N-05D will be released in the Japanese market via NTT DoCoMo network in March 2012. Measuring at only 6.7mm thin, the smartphone features a 4.3-inch (720 x 1280) display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260 processor, a 1GB of RAM, a 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot and the Google Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread OS. Other important specs include an 8.1-megapixel CMOS camera with NEC’s Exmor R for mobile engine, a 1,400mAh battery, NFC, a digital TV tuner, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. [Android Community]
NEC will release the Medias N-04C in the US market. The smartphone comes jam packed with a 4-inch LCD touchscreen display at 480 x 854 resolution, the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, a 5.1-megapixel CMOS camera, a microSDHC memory card slot for storage expansion, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Called the NEC Medias WP N-06C, the handset is packed with a 4.0-inch 480 x 854 touchscreen display, a 1GHz Snapdragon Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, a 512MB RAM, a 1GB of internal storage, a microSDHC card slot (up to 32GB), a 5.0-megapixel camera, 720p HD video recording capabilities, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. NEC has decided to launch the new Android smartphone in the Japanese market. Dubbed as the NEC Medias N-06C, this waterproof Android smartphone supports IPX 5/7 specifications.
