
Palm is out with another great deal, they’re offering unlocked GSM versions of their Centro smartphone for as low as $199 each, in any of three colors: Ruby Red, Glacier White, and Cobalt Blue. As a reminder, the handset is equipped with a 320 x 320 pixel display, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a full QWERTY keyboard with rubber buttons, 64MB or 128MB of built-in storage space, a microSD card slot, a web browser, Bluetooth and e-mail synchronization capabilities. According to a beta tester who works for Logicomm, Jim Van, the Palm Pre handset is on its way and will arrive on April 30. Whether you believe it or not, I personally can’t wait to get my hands on this new smartphone. Here’s a quick reminder about the phone, it comes jam packed with a 3.1 inch multi touch display, 329 x 480 pixels display, a 3 megapixel camera with an LED flash, a built in full QWERTY keyboard, 8GB of flash memory, a built in wireless charger and on top of that there is a built in accelerometer. Here are some presentation videos of the new Palm Pre from the Palm’s press conference today. The Palm Pre will be made available for Sprint in US, which is a CDMA version. Sadly, there is no further info about the GSM version of the phone. [pocketables] More

Palm has added two new colors to the Centro smartphone. The Olive green and Vibrant rose Palm Centro are priced at only $80 each. These new models will be available from October 19 onwards from selected retail stores. Sprint will release these handsets on November 2nd, 2008 for $80 with a 2-year agreement.
