Datalogic has a new rugged PDA called the Pegaso. What makes this PDA cool is that it features a built-in barcode scanner. Measuring 6.9 inch x 3.2 inch x 1.9 inch and weighing 16.9 ounces, the gadget features Marvell PXA270 520MHz processor, 64MB/128MB of RAM, 128MB of flash memory, 3.6 inch screen display in VGA/QVGA resolutions, GSM/GRPS/EDGE support, 802.11b/g connectivity, Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity with CCX v. 4 extensions and an SD memory card slot. Toshiba will release a new smart phone called the G810 which is a Windows Mobile 6 device that features support for HSDPA and HSUPA, along with built-in GPS and A-GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth along with a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen, a 3 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot for expansion and an FM radio. No word on pricing, but the Portege should hit Europe the 2nd quarter of 08.

Samsung Electronics showcased the Ultra Edition Ultra Smart F520’ during 3GSM 2007. This dual slider comes with a 3.3-inch touch screen interface, so users can move from a QWERTY keyboard to a numeric keypad. Additional features include HSDPA connectivity and a full browsing capability similar to a PC monitor. No word on pricing or availability yet.

Looks like the Nokia G800 has some competition from the Samsung G810 smartphone. Instead of Windows Mobile, it has Symbian with HSDPA data, a 2.6-inch QVGA display, a 5-megapixel camera, GPS functions, WiFi, 150MB of memory (plus a microSD slot), and Bluetooth 2.0. The G810 is expected to be introduced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and will go for €580.

PDA fans will surely appreciate the new Sharp PV250 PDA with a swiveling LCD. it features a QWERTY keyboard, a slot for microSD cards and a 1.3-megapixel camera. No word on pricing or availability yet.
