The HTC MTeoR is the world’s first 3G Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone with a slim and stylish candy bar design. It has 2.2″ TFT LCD screen and built-in 1.3 Megapixel camera. The MTeoR features Windows Mobile 5.0 Direct Push technology for immediate synchronization of email, calendar and notes plus document viewers for PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The HTC MTeoR measures 112.4 mm x 49 mm x 14.8 mm and weight 120 grams, it will be available by end of July. Along with the MTeoR, HTC also launches the TyTN (or it is also called the HTC Hermes) which is targetted at business users on the move. HTC Hermes offers different types of connectivity options including: tri-band UMTS 3G, plus GSM, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a mini-USB port. It also features the QWERTY keyboard, 2.8 Inch colour displays with touch-screen, a jog wheel for easy, one-hand operation, and 2 Megapixel camera plus a secondary VGA camera for video conferencing. Gigabyte G-Smart i120 is another PDA phone announced by Gigabyte in Computex 2006. This PDA phone is using Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 and has a 262k colors TFT screen (240 x 320 pixel), 256MB ROM, 64MB RAM, 2.0 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, Infrared, mini USB and SD Card slot, FM radio, TV Tuner, and 192 polyphonic ringtones. Gigabyte is released two new Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphones this week, the g-Smart i120 and g-Smart i300. The i300 features a tri-band device, packing 64MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM, 802.11g, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, a 2 megapixel camera, 2.4-inch QVGA screen, a MiniSD slot and an FM tuner. While the i120 features a built-in keypad, but the specs are pretty similar otherwise, with tri-band GSM (900 / 1800 / 1900) and GPRS, 64MB RAM, 256MB ROM, 802.11g, Bluetooth, infrared, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, and 2 megapixel camera.
