Philips will release the K700 and the X501 in the near future. The Xenium K700 features a full touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and probably a long lasting battery as with other Xenium handsets. Unfortunately, there is no further info about the X501, but we can see that it has a 2MP digital camera. No word yet on when or where the Philips K700 and X501 will be available. More
Here are some leaked pictures of Philips’ upcoming first Android smartphone known as the V808. However, details remain scarce at the moment, but according to PConline the handset will feature a 3.2-inch HVGA display with 320 x 480 resolution, a 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording and GPS support. So here are the specs, a 3-inch TFT touchscreen display with 320 x 240 pixels and 262k colors, a 5MP camera with autofocus, a music and video players, an FM-radio with RDS, a 47MB of internal memory, a microSDHC card slot (up to 8GB), a mini USB port, Stereo Bluetooth and supports quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE. What’s more, the phone also comes with an impressive battery lifetime that lasts up to 10 hours in talk-time, or up to 1.5 months in stand-by-time. This new candybar phone comes with a 1530 mAh battery capable of lasting up to 12 hours in talk-time, or up to 50 days in stand-by time. Philips will launch the C600 and W186 later this week. The Philips C600 is a dual-mode cell phone that works on Tri-band GSM networks (900/1800/1900 MHz), and on CDMA 800 MHz. What makes this handset unique is that it comes with two call keys, one for GSM and one for CDMA. Other features include a 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen display, an MP3 player, a 1.3MP camera with video recording, a 2.5MB of internal memory and MicroSD card support (up to 2GB).
Meanwhile, the Philips W186 is made for China Unicom’s Wo brand. The phone supports Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band UMTS (850/2100 MHz) connectivity, with HSDPA 3.6Mbps. Other specs include a 2-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels, a 2MP camera with video recording, Bluetooth with A2DP, an FM radio, a 150MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support (up to 8GB).
