Verizon Wireless is preparing to unleash a new slider phone from ZTE called the Salute. The handset will sport a 2.4-inch 320 x 240 TFT display, a 1.3-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, a microUSB port, a 2.5mm audio jack and support CDMA 1x network. Nokia has officially confirmed the first phone from the Cseries family namely the Nokia C5 candybar. The phone allows you to see Facebook status updates from the phonebook, and it also provides easy access to other social networking sites like MySpace. Additionally, the S60 3rd Edition-powered phone features a 2.2-inch QVGA display, HSDPA, Ovi Maps 3.0 with free navigation, Nokia Messaging, a 3.5mm headset jack, a stereo IHF speaker, a 3.2MP camera, and an included 2GB memory card. Toshiba today unveiled two new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2010, which are known as the Toshiba TG02 and K01. Both cell phones come jam packed with a 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 32GB. The Toshiba TG02 is a successor to the previously released TG01. Measuring 9.9 mm thick, the new model features a capacitive screen and a new 3D user interface. Meanwhile, the K01 is a slider handset with a sliding keyboard. Measuring at 12.9 mm, it will also be Toshiba’s first smartphone with an AMOLED screen. Korean SKY has recently introduced its new 3G full touchscreen phone, the Qbric II (IM-R520S), for the South Korean market. The main feature of this phone is the integrated DivX player to enjoy DVD-level video playback. The SKY IM-R520S also features a 3.2-inch WVGA (800 x 480) LCD screen, T-DMB, PIP (Picture In Picture) function, a 3MP Autofocus camera, a 4GB external memory card, and Bluetooth connectivity. The FCC has recently approved the LG GW620 Etna, which means that this handset will be available stateside very soon. FYI, the LG GW620 is an Android-powered cell phone that features a 320 x 480 resolution display with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi connectivity, a 5-megapixel camera with Autofocus, GPS navigation support, an integrated FM tuner, and a microSD card slot.
