China just lucked out because the Blackberry will ship to China soon. Oddly enough China has a low-cost competing service called RedBerry, I wonder if they have as strict copyright laws as the U.S? Guess not.

Research In Motion (RIM) has decided to release its BlackBerry Pearl 8120 smartphone in Singapore later this month. As a reminder, the smartphone has a microSD/SDHC slot, 2MP shooter with 5x digital zoom and video capture capability, and Wi-Fi support. Its camera also allows users to capture video in two resolutions 240×180 or 176×144 for sharing via MMS.

The Almighty FCC has approved the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 quad-band GSM/EDGE phone. It comes loaded with GPS navigation, a 3.5mm headset jack, stereo Bluetooth, an external microSD memory card slot, updated mail software, and 802.11b/g WiFi connectivity. However, the handset does not support 3G.
