Samsung has introduced a new variant of its Galaxy S5 called the Galaxy S5 Plus. Unlike the original Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S5 Plus is packed with a 2.5GHz quad-core Krait 450 processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, an Adreno 420 GPU and LTE Cat. 6 (upgrading from Cat. 4). Samsung’s latest LTE-enabled Android 4.4 smartphone ‘Galaxy Mega 2’ is finally making its way to AT&T. The handset will be available on AT&T starting October 24th for $149.99 with a new two-year contract or $474.99 with no annual commitment. Called the Galaxy Ace Style LTE, the handset sports a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (217 ppi pixel density), a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 processor, an Adreno 306 GPU, a 1GB RAM and a 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot. Tired of Apple’s iPhones, but not to crazy about Samsung’s plasticy Galaxies? Enter the all new Samsung Galaxy Alpha, announced earlier last week, and just now been released. It is the toughest Galaxy phone yet, and you can pre-order starting August 28th. The UK will get it first, starting the first week of September, but we hope that Asia will soon follow. At 7mm not only it is the toughest Galaxy but it is also the slimmest, slickest Galaxy ever built by the Korean cell phone giant. Its innards, however, is mid-range but that makes it just perfect as it won’t be too highly priced, at £499. Stay tuned.
