
Japan’s NTT DoCoMo has announced the availability of the Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E. It is known as the world’s first smartphone with an IGZO display. The IGZO display uses the indium gallium zinc oxide technology to provide a higher translucency that normal LCD display. The FCC has recently approved the Sharp Aquos SH-10D, which means that it is ready to hit the U.S. market. As a reminder, the handset supports a GSM and HSPA+ / WCDMA radio. Softbank will launch the Sharp Pantone 5 107SH in mid-July 2012. What makes this cell phone special is that it is equipped with a radiation sensor. The Sharp Pantone 5 107SH features a radiation reader app, which will provide accurate radiation level readings. The water- and dust-resistant handset is powered by a 1.4GHz single-core processor, a 3.7-inch WVGA display and a 4-megapixel rear-facing camera. NTT DoCoMo will launch the NERV Edition Sharp SH-06D. Powered by the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, this Evangelion-themed Android smartphone features a 4.5-inch 720p display with an Evangelion-themed UI created by director Hideaki Anno’s Khara studio. KDDI and Sharp have joined together to launch the AQUOS IS14SH in the Japanese market. Powered by the Google Android 2.3 operating system, the phone features a slide-out keyboard, a 3.7-inch (960×540) New Mobile ASV Liquid crystal panel touchscreen display, an 8-megapixel digital camera with 720p video recording, a microSDHC card slot, a 1Seg TV tuner, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi connectivity.
