Sony Ericsson will release the new C702 which is known as being a phone for the outdoors. It features a 3.2 megapixel camera, face detection, GPS, and is both dust and water resistant. No word on pricing, but the C702 is expected to release sometime in the 2nd quarter of 2008.
Sony Ericsson will release a 3G super slim phone Walkman W880 .The W880 features a memory capacity to store up to 900 songs, a sleek stainless steel finish and supports a 2M camera. Look for the W880 sometime this month. Price is still unknown.
Sony Ericsson decided to redo the K530i in red for Chinese New Year in Taiwan along with the Warm Silver and Thunder Black. Additional features include: 2mpx camera, Access NetFront browser, RSS support, USB, FM radio, and Bluetooth, Screen: 176×220 pixel, 262,144-colour TFT, Memory Stick Micro support (up to 2 GB); 16 MB internal memory, 2.5x digital zoom, picture blogging, video recording, A2DP support, Media Player, Music Tones, PlayNow, TrackID, Speakerphone. The K530i is now available exclusively in Taiwan for $273.
Sony Ericsson will release a couple radio cell phones soon. The R300 and R306 both have loudspeakers for the radio (stereo on R306 Radio) and preset channel buttons for easy switching of radio channels. Other features include: 3D sound, volume boost, and the ability to set radio as alarm clock and record a clip. The 300 Radio GSM/GPRS phone also has a VGA camera while the R306 has a 1.3-megapixel camera as well as TrackID which can identify your music. The R300 comes in steel black and an antique copper and will be available in the second quarter 2008 while the R306 will come in coffee black and champagne white. No word on pricing so far.
Sony Ericsson has announced the arrival of their new luxury phone called the T650. It has a 24 carat gold plating and scratch-resistant mineral glass display, is available in several colors:Growing Green, Midnight Blue, Eclipse Black and the newly announced Precious Gold, light animations, a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, enhanced browsing capabilities, the built-in media player with Bluetooth technology so music can be streamed in stereo directly from phone to a special pink and gold headset. Sounds like the real deal if you ask me.
