Vertu Constellation F Ayxta Luxury Phone

Vertu has finally released their first clamshell handset for the mass market. The Vertu Constellation F Ayxta features GPS, 3G HSDPA, a MicroSD card support, a 3MP camera with dual LED flash, and City Brief that provides “restaurant recommendations, the latest exhibitions, shopping guides and important cultural etiquette tips.” The Ayxta was made from expensive materials including stainless steel, ceramic, leather, sapphire crystal (for the display) and aerospace grade aluminum parts. The Vertu Ascent Ti Damascus Steel is built using an “ancient steel forging” technique that increases the metal’s hardness. This technique was used throughout the centuries to make, for example, Samurai swords (katana) or Indian Wootz swords. Vertu comes back with their new Constellation Vivre Collection that was inspired and co-designed by Vertu’s brand ambassador, Michelle Yeoh. The phone comes with the leaf pattern, which is delicately stitched with metal thread on the leather back plate, while it is also hand engraved onto the stainless steel bezel of the handset. Luxurious handset manufacturer Vertu has released its Constellation Pure Collection that is the result of two years research into the colouring process which has been perfected in order to give the phones a uniform color. The Pure White is an all white phone that feature polished steel and a white ceramic keypad and pillow with white leather designed to be resistant to staining. The Pure Black is an all black phone that offers PVD treated steel and a black ceramic keypad and pillow with black leather.
