NEC N3306 Cell Phone

NEC N3306 cell phone just received the FCC’s seal of approval. The N3306 is a GSM phone that supports T-Flash/microSD memory cards and features handwriting recognition, a dedicated MP3 music player access key on the front of the device, and a camera key on the side. You can also find a basic WAP browser on the phone, as it supports GPRS for getting online. No word on pricing or availability yet.

After a long wait, Cingular’s finally released their 8525. It will set you back US$399 (with two year contract) when it launches on November 16th, 2006. This Windows Mobile 5.0 Powered pocket PC phone will have five hour of talk time. Still, for your US$400 you’re unlikely to find a hotter Pocket PC phone on the US market. The Cingular 8525’s value extends beyond work activities. During a break in the day or after business hours, users can relax by listening to their favorite music on Windows Media Player 10 Mobile using wired or Bluetooth-enabled stereo headsets, or enjoy video clips courtesy of MobiTV. The Cingular 8525 also comes equipped with a 2-megapixel digital camera and video recorder for sharper photos and video.** With an optional 1GB Micro-SD card, customers can store about 250 songs, more than 1,000 games or over 2,000 standard resolution photos.

Samsung has rolled another gadget for China Unicom, the the touchscreen-enabled SCH-W579 phone with support for CDMA 800 / 1900 and GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900. Other features include internal QVGA and external 96 x 80 displays, a 2MP digicam, Bluetooth, business card recognition, and a media player. No word on pricing yet.

Red means passion. And now Motorola has released a special V3i Red and Black Edition. It is part of Product RED, an international campaign that’s supporting AIDS programmes in Africa with a focus on women and children. When you buy one of the MOTORAZR V3i Black handsets, Motorola will make a one-off contribution to the Global Fund fighting AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. In addition, 5% of your monthly bill will be donated to the Global Fund without costing you a penny extra on your tariff. MOTORAZR V3i Black mobile phone updates the distinctive ultra-thin handset with a 1.23MP camera. Inside there’s a high-resolution colour screen with the choice of personalised wallpaper images and screensavers. Outside there’s another colour screen that’ll let you know who’s calling before you flip open the phone. Photography is enhanced by an amazing 8x digital zoom and a full-screen viewfinder (wow!) :) , while video recording and playback is available too.
