Kevin Rose Confirms Apple iPhone

Kevin Rose, the founder of Digg.com who also had accurate word of the Core 2 Duo Macbook and Macbook Pro, has confirmed the availability of Apple iPhone. The iPhone will be launched in January on all CDMA and GSM providers. Available in 4GB or 8GB capacities, the phone will feature a slide-out keypad, touch screen display, Flash memory, and a custom OS. The 4GB version will retail for US$249, while the 8GB will retail for US$449. Watch the video after the jump to get more details.

Sharp is showing off their new cellphone, that features an innovative “Cycloid Style” LCD display. Its LCD screen is perfect for viewing digital media because it uses similar technology that found in Sharp’s AQUOS line of LCDs. Dubbed as the Sharp 911SH, the handset features include a 2.0MP shooter, 1.1MP external camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and a microSD card slot. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.

O2 Xda Zinc Will Be Released in January

Here is good news for all you O2 fans. The much anticipated O2 Zinc will be released in January. For now, this smartphone will only be available to our British friends.

FYI, the O2 XDA Zinc is a tri-band GSM handset that supports 3G connectivity and is a Windows Powered Smartphone. It is powered by the Intel PXA270 520MHz processor and is equipped with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 2MP shooter, Bluetooth 2.0, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and all the Microsoft Mobile Applications. No word yet on pricing.
