Picasso GF-901 Mobile Phone From GPLUS Taiwan

The Picasso GF-901 from GPLUS is a basic clamshell phone with exclusively designed keypad that resembles (probably Picasso’s) palette of colors. The 1.8 inch display screen offers arty wallpapers and screen savers. The phone also has a 1.3MP camera, support MP3/MP4 multimedia file formats and bluetooth wireless connection. Picasso GF901 is currently available for purchase only in Taiwan. Read the list of specs after the jump.

Sagem my 300H Mobile Phone

FCC has approved the upcoming SAGEM my300H mobile phone, which will work with GSM 850 MHz and PCS 1900 MHz networks. This clamshell doesn’t offer more than the usual built-in camera, java applications, and WAP support. It appears to lack other essentials including Bluetooth connectivity. There is no word on pricing so far.

HP’s New Line Of Mobile Devices With GPS

HP

HP is about to upgrade their mobile series with Windows Mobile 6 operating system. The iPAQ VoiceMessenger 514 has been the first member of this new generation, which will also include integrated GPS functionality. The other series will be configured in the following way:

  • 100 Series: The substitute of old the rz1710. Entry range PDA with no phone but at for a very low price
  • 200 Series: PDA/PND (autonomous GPS) hybrids, replacing the range iPAQ rx57/59
  • 300 Series: equipped with a VGA screen (replacing ancestral the iPAQ hx4700)
  • 500 Series: medium range smartphones
  • 600 Series: 3G PDA phones equipped with keyboard and integrated GPS.
  • 900 Series: The successor of the HP iPAQ hw6915. Specially designed for business users.

The first devices from the new HP line-up will be released at the end of the year.

LG KC1 Smartphone With WiBro

LG KC1 Smartphone With WiBro

LG Korea has released the KC1 smartphone which features WiBro connectivity. The phone comes with Marvell Monahans CPU at 800 Mhz and runs on the Windows Mobile version 5.0 operating system. The handset also sports a 2.8 inch touchscreen LCD, Bluetooth, SD card slot and T-DMB receiver for watching digital TV on the move. For your info, the WiBro is the Korean name for mobile Wi-Max although it has a much shorter range at 1.5 Kms per base station with an aggregate data throughput of 30 to 50 Mbit/s. The LG-KC1 phone will be available in Korea only for $750.
