Verizon has announced that they will have the LG VX9100 and Samsung U940. The U940 comes with a 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA with speeds up to 7.6Mbps, a “drag and drop” touch interface on a 2.78 inch color display, VibeTonz technology, and a full QWERTY keyboard. The LG VX9100 as far as specs go will come with EV-DO. No price or release date is known at the moment for both of these.

Softbank Mobile has released the PHOTOS 920SC slider phone which features two cameras a 5-megapixel camera for photo taking and a 3-megapixel for video conference, as well as a xenon flash, 3X optical zoom, Bluetooth, IrDA, GPS, face recognition and auto focus capabilities. The camera is resistant towards hand-shake and can prevent red eye pictures by correcting them. Additional features include a microSD (maximum 2GB) card, and supports W-CDMA and GSM (900/1800/1900). Offering you a 340-hour battery and gives about approximately 200 minutes of talktime. However if you want this phone you’ll have to look for it in Japan.
Sanyo seems to be in on the CES fun with their new SCP-7050 phone for Sprint.The rugged, military spec design of the SCP-7050 is a durable feature that makes the phone shock, vibration, and dust resistant. Other features include Java MVM support, autonomous GPS, and enhanced Bluetooth capabilities, and is available at Sprint for a suggested retail price of $99 with a 2-year contract.
Great news from Sprint as they launch the new Samsung SPH-M800. It features a 2 megapixel camera as well as EV-DO. No word on when this’ll be released or even the price, but it should be soon.
