LG Electronics and Alltel Wireless launched the LG AX390 which is equipped with Alltel’s Touch2Talk walkie-talkie service. This service lets you to upgrade walkie-talkie calls to regular wireless calls and lets you to send messages to all members of a Touch2Talk group. This mobile phone doesn’t have digital camera and Bluetooth connectivity. Measuring 1.8 Inches x 3.3 Inches x .9 Inches, this CDMA handset has a speakerphone on the handset and it also includes Voice recognition technology. In addition, the LG AX390 has phonebook which can store up to 500 contacts. The AX390 is Axcess Web capable and works on Alltel’s Axcess MobileLink network, which delivers speeds of 40 to 70 kbps with bursts up to 144 kbps. Via the AxcessSM Services provided by Alltel, you can also access some multimedia functions such as Messaging, Ringtones & Wallpaper, Games, E-mail, and Web. The LG AX390 is on sale for $59.99. This phone works well on CDMA 800 MHz, CDMA 1900 MHz and 800 MHz analog.
