I just purchased the Glimmer. So far I like it. I love the metal chrome on the back that gives it a little more weight. I love that it gives you to the option to use touch screen or the keypad. It’s taking me awhile to get us to the touch screen but I’m adjusting. The 2.8 inch screen is really nice. I wanted something nice but easy to use and this is it. The camera is awesome. It takes really nice pictures. I’m one that txt alot and I noticed that when sending txt messages, this phone moves like lightning. The reception is the best yet on any cell phone I’ve had so far. Thats really nice.

There are a few downsides to the phone, but nothing I can not live with. Lets see the screen smudges a bit, but no big deal with that. It comes with a thin sheet protector to take care of that. The phone comes with a nice stylus but it attaches to the outside of the phone by a string instead of being able to insert inside the phone like most. For what I need to do, this phone is it. At first I thought it was sort of over priced considering you dont have the Q keyboard, but it has enough nice features so I see why its $249 after the mail in rebate. This is a nice phone and so far so good.

I love this phone, but, I HATE that it doesn’t have a QWERTY…It’d be great if it was on the touchscreen, at least. Also, I can’t seem to get the Mobile IM app. I know I read somewhere that it was available but I can’t find it even in the axcess apps. So, who knows.

The phone is a lil heavy and bulky, but nothing that I can’t live with. Now one thing that really bothers me about this phone is the ringer and the fact that Alltel has made it impossible to use .mp3s as ringtones, talk about aggravating. Their excuse is viruses or something. The ringer doesn’t get very loud at all, I can’t even hear it half the time.

What do you say?
