Globalstar GSP-1700 Satellite Phone

Globalstar, the company with the big end of the market on satellite phones, has debuted the world’s smallest satellite phone last Thursday. Manufactured by Qualcomm, the GSP-1700 will operate in more than 120 countries and six continents around the world. It’s almost half the weight and size of the current models out and the lithium-ion battery is designed to provide users with four hours of talk time and 36 hours of standby time. It would be a very handy tool out in the field since it can connect in almost any condition and anywhere for that matter. It comes in three colors and the gigantic antenna can easily be disconnected for wearing comfort. Pricing is still unknown. Check one more pic after the jump!
