Google

Looks like Google is cooking up a Linux-based phone for launch in Q1 2008. After much talk over tech specs with manufacturers (including LG Electronics), Google is engaging with Taiwan’s High Tech Computer (HTC) Corp to design and manufacture the final phone. The Wall Street Journals reported that Google has spent hundreds of millions of dollars in this project and has courted US and European mobile operators. It’s interesting to see how this develops, considering it’s due time Google kicks Apple’s ass off the cell phone market! ;-)
