Huawei has recently unveiled a new 4G LTE-enabled Android 6.0 smartphone ‘Mate 9 Lite’ to its range. Adopting a unibody metal design, this mid-range smartphone sports a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, an octa-core Kirin 655 (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) 16nm processor, a Mali T830-MP2 GPU and a 3GB RAM w/ 32GB of expandable internal storage (up to 256GB) or 4GB RAM w/ 64GB of expandable internal storage (up to 256GB).
Equipped with Hybrid dual SIM (nano SIM + nano SIM / microSD) card slots, the handset packs an 8MP front-facing camera, a 12MP rear-facing camera with 1.25um pixel size, PDAF and LED flash, a 2MP secondary rear-facing camera for capturing depth information and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Powered by a 3340mAh battery, the Mate 9 Lite provides 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS for connectivity, and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1 on top. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and availability yet. [Huawei]
