
Verizon Wireless will release the LG Versa smartphone on March 1st, 2009. In case you didn’t know, the Versa features a 3-inch touchscreen display, a 2.0MP shooter with face detection, microSD card slot (up to 16GB extra memory), a 2.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, EV-DO Rev. A, Flash support for the full HTML browser and a built-in accelerometer. There is also a QWERTY keyboard for everybody who doesn’t like typing on a touchscreen. The LG Versa Modem smartphone also supports Verizon’s Mobile Broadband Connect, which allows you to use your phone as a modem when connected to a laptop. Unfortunately, the Mobile Broadband Connect costs $60 / month and is limited to just 5GB. The LG Versa will retail for $199 with a 2-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.
