Motorola has announced two of its enterprise-grade iDEN handsets for utility, petrochemical and industrial markets. Dubbed as the r765 and r765IS, both handsets are rugged by design and provide mobile workers stationed in noisy environments with call clarity and access to data applications. The phones will support Java-powered applications, Bluetooth compatibility for hands-free accessories, and iDen services that allow for group and private calls, interconnect, messaging, and data exchange. The Motorola r765 will be released in the second quarter of 2009, meanwhile the Motorola r765IS in the third quarter. [Motorola]
