However, it struck me they may have made different frequency versions, as mine actually seems to be called Nokia 1661-2. Will this EU version of the phone work in the U.S? Does anyone have a clue on this? It could as well be that the ones sold in the U.S. are factory tuned to the U.S frequencies GSM 850/1900 instead of the original European GSM 900/1800. Ps.
