
Owners of Palm Pre in the UK and Europe are now able to download the latest version of Palm Pre webOS, which was launched in the US earlier this month. The Palm Pre webOS 1.3.1 provides LinkedIn and Yahoo! support for Palm Synergy, improved email and messaging, and Facebook for Palm. Available in Red Passion and Oiled Bronze colors, the Dell Mini 3i will be released in China later this month via China Mobile, the world’s largest mobile operator that serves more than 500-million subscribers. The Mini 3i runs on China Mobile’s flexible OPhone open source platform, and includes the latest in popular entertainment including pre-loaded 139Mail e-mail, Fetion chat and digital maps for navigation. The phone has a large 3.5-inch widescreen display and is also compatible with a range of consumer applications, e-mail platforms, and office productivity software. Samsung Mobile has officially announced the upcoming availability of Samsung Omnia II for Verizon Wireless. The handset will be available beginning on December 2nd for $199.99 with a 2-year contract agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate. As a reminder, this smartphone offers a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, Samsung’s TouchWiz 2.0 UI, a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology, Opera 9.5, DNSe technology, GPS, WiFi and runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. O2 has announced the availability of the HTC HD2 on their cell phone network in the UK. This Windows Mobile 6.5-powered smartphone is available for free, although you will have to sign a contract agreement for at least 18-months and pay £45 monthly. The HTC HD2 features a 4.3-inch EVGA touchscreen display with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, HTC’s custom Sense UI, HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, and a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus.
