The CECT A1000 is a mobile phone which provides 1000 hours standby time. It packs with a 2.2 Inch QVGA display screen, 4MP camera and multimedia player which support media file format such as MP3, MPEG4 and 3GPP. It carries a huge 2000 mAh battery. The phone doesn’t have a keypad but use a stylus for all the input operations. Unfortunately, this phone doesn’t have Bluetooth and IrDA connectivity. The dual band GSM 900 /1800 MHz A1000 will be sold only in China.

The SCH-B500 features a 240 x 320 color display screen, a 2MP digital camera, built-in DMB TV tuner, Bluetooth connectivity, and an MP3 player. This 1.4cm thick cellphone will go on sale in South Korea very soon. But there is no info on pricing. Samsung confirmed that the handset supports the English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

Virgin Mobile USA has released its new handset, Kyocera Oystr. This metallic ivory handset is targeted at the teens. Oystr has a white clamshell body and features an internal color display, two-way speaker phone, text messaging, and customized Virgin Mobile hardware. The phone is simple in design but fully functional. The phone features also Web browsing, access to Virgin Mobile content like wallpapers, screensavers, and “Superphonic“ ringtones. Kyocera Oystr has an up to 220 minutes of battery talk time and up to 200 hours of battery standby. The price is only $29.99.

DoCoMo and Sony Ericsson released a new Waterproof phone the Sony Ericsson SO902iWP+. The waterproof SO902iWP+ can receive calls underwater and comes with an MP3 player and 1.3MP digital camera. That’s right. This phone can receive calls underwater but how do you suppose you’ll listen to it with water in your ear? People who spend a lot of time around water would the target market for this phone such as boaters, lifeguards, and aquarium cleaners. Or perhaps this phone is compatible with those who always drop their phone in toilets or pools.
