Korean Pantech invested $110 million in KDDI in order to supply A1406PT 3G mobile phones. The Pantech A140PT is an 800 single-band CDMA 1x 2000 phone which measures a small 98.3 mm x 50.8 mm x 19.8 mm. The phone has a 2.4 inch 260K QVGA TFT LCD with QVGA resolution, a secondary 1.2 inch 65K TFT (128×128 pixels), a crime prevention buzzer, one-touch key pad and a 1.3MP digital camera with flash. The Pantech A140PT will be sold in Japan under KDDI’s brand.
