Concept phones are great. They're not intended to be full production models, but rather give a sense of what can be achieved when designers are freed from the constraints that commercial mobile phones must operate in. You know, things like style, usability, cost, and, perhaps most important of all, the laws of physics!

[...] South Korea-based Pantech has introduced four new concept phones that are called the “Coralliform Water”, the “Easter Moai”, the “Recy_Q” and the “Softly Lofty”. The “Coralliform Water” was inspired by the sea and its life. It is a slider that looks like a budding flower, when closed. The phone has a touchscreen display and a camera. The “Easter Moai” has a “wave” touchscreen LCD, a touch key, a dome key and lots of other keys on its sides. The “Recy_Q” comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard and touch keys. This handset uses recyclable material for the case and keypad. The last concept is the Softy Lofty, which is designed “to offer as much visual and emotional comfort as possible”. It seems that this concept phone doesn’t have display screen. [UnWiredView via Upcoming Cell Phones] [...]
