Samsung has officially announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S Plus in Russia. This smartphone will be sold under the name Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition. Measuring 122.4mm x 64.2mm x 9.9mm and weighing 119 grams, the new Android handset has a 1.4GHz Qualcomm single-core processor, a 4-inch Super AMOLED (800 x 480) capacitive touchscreen, a 5-megapixel main camera with autofocus and 720p HD video recording, a VGA front-facing camera, a 2GB of ROM, a 512MB of RAM, a 6GB internal memory expandable via a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA+ 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 1650mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition runs on the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
