Sling Media has decided to create an application that connects the Slingbox to Apple’s 3G iPhone. Dubbed as the SlingPlayer, it is an application that allows users to stream video directly from a Slingbox to a mobile device. FYI, Sling already makes the SlingPlayer Mobile available on Windows Mobile, Palm OS, and Symbian phones, and for RIM’s BlackBerry. Unfortunately, there is no release date so far, however this application will be available by the end of this year or in early 2009. [Crave/ CNet]
