Telus has started selling the BlackBerry Pearl 3G for just $200 with no contract. The smartphone features a 2.26-inch display screen with resolution of 400 x 360px, a 3.2MP camera, and a microSD slot (up to 16GB) with included 2GB memory card. Folks in Canada are now able to purchase the Google Nexus One and BlackBerry Curve 3G via Mobilicity. The Google Nexus One is priced at $549.99, which is an unsubsidized, no-contract price. Meanwhile, the BlackBerry Curve 3G retails for $299.99 with no contract. As a reminder, the Nexus One has a 3.7-inch touchscreen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an Android 2.2 Froyo and an illuminated trackball. T-Mobile Garminfone Release Date Unveiled

T-Mobile has unveiled the release date for the Garminfone. The handset will be available on June 9th, 2010 at select T-Mobile retail stores, authorized dealers and online. This Android-powered handset will retail for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and bundled with a two-year service agreement and qualifying voice and data plan. iPhone 3GS Price Cut At Walmart

Walmart has started selling the 16GB iPhone 3GS for only $97 with a two-year contract from AT&T, the iPhone’s exclusive service provider. At the new price, customers will save $100 on Apple’s smartphone, which currently sells for $199. For your info, Apple sold 8.3 million iPhones last quarter, more than twice the amount sold during the same period a year ago. [Walmart]

T-Mobile MyTouch 3G To Receive Android 2.1 Update

Here is good news for T-Mobile MyTouch 3G users, because T-Mobile’s VP of Production Innovation, Andrew Sherrard, has confirmed that the carrier is busy testing the Android 2.1 firmware update internally. The new firmware update will feature HTC’s Sense UI included, which is the same UI offered on the MyTouch 3G Slide. The new update will also provide a “Genius Button” feature.
