Acer has unveiled the specification of the W4 Windows Mobile smartphone. The handset features a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive screen with a 1GHz Qualcomm MSN8255 processor, a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and a 5MP rear camera with AutoFocus. The Acer W4 also supports HSPA 850/1900 or 900/2100 frequencies and GSM quad band 850/900/1800/1900Mhz. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, DLNA support and an 8GB of storage space. [zol]
Acer UK will release the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system for the Acer Liquid Mini E310 smartphone. What’s more, the handset will be available in new color versions, including cherry, lagoon, pearl and steel. Acer has decided to launch their newest Android smartphone ‘Iconia Smart‘ in India very soon. Showcased at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Iconia Smart offers a 4.8-inch 1024 x 480 capacitive touchscreen display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an 8.0-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, a 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera, a 512MB RAM, an 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), an accelerometer sensor, 720p HD video recording support, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. Acer is ready to launch the Liquid Mini Android Froyo smartphone in India. Available in “jet silver”, “piano black”, and “royal blue”, the phone comes equipped with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, Acer UI, 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS. Additional specs include a SocialJogger social networking app, a 3.5mm audio jack, a 5MP camera and a pre-installed 2GB memory card. Its 1300mAh battery offers up to 8-hour of talktime.
