
A Danish mobile phone site, Mobil has reportedly said that Sony Ericcson is working on their first Android powered XPERIA smartphone — codenamed “Rachael”, which is set to be released later this year. According to them, the phone will feature a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a big touchscreen display, a 8MP camera, HSPA, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a mini-USB connector. Spain-based company, GeeksPhone has come out with their first Android phone namely the One. This new smartphone runs on Android 1.5 Cupcake and features a 625MHz PXA310 processor, a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2 megapixel camera and a front-facing camera, a microSD card slot, AGPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and supports quad-band EDGE/HSDPA connectivity. According to the Philipine BusinessMirror, Acer is planning on launching its new A1 Android phone in September. This smartphone will run on Google Inc.’s Android operating system and feature a touchscreen display.
