
Elecom today introduced a new external battery charger for the Apple iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S. Available in 4700mAh and 3000mAh capacities, these external battery chargers have been released in the Japanese market. Walmart has started selling the 16GB Apple iPhone 4 for $147 a two-year contract. As a price comparison, AT&T and Verizon sells this smartphone for $199. The price reduction applies to both the AT&T and Verizon versions of the iPhone 4. The $147 on-contract price is also available for the black and white models. [Apple Insider]

Word has it that the upcoming iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S) will feature a curved cover glass. Apple has recently purchased 200-300 glass cutting machines that will be used by glass makers. Apple has officially announced the availability of the white iPhone 4. Vodafone UK will launch the white version of iPhone 4. The smartphone will be available on April, 27th 2011. This information is said to come from an internal memo distributed to employees within a phone store called BelCompany in the Netherlands.
