
Some folks at Phandroid have unveiled a new Android smartphone, which is thinner than the Apple iPhone 4. Dubbed as the LG B, the smartphone features a 3.5mm headset jack and a 4-inch WVGA ISP LCD that is brighter than iPhone 4′s retina display and Samsung Galaxy S’ AMOLED display. It seems that Apple will launch the white version of iPhone 4 in Spring 2011. Marketing signage being distributed to Apple stores confirms a Spring 2011 launch for the white iPhone 4. Apple has announced the availability of the iPhone 4 for the Chinese market. This highly anticipated handset will be launched in China on September 25th, 2010. Folks in China will be able to buy this handset directly from Apple or from China Unicom, China’s second biggest carrier. Apple sells the unlocked iPhone 4 for CNY 4,999 (approximately $744) for the 16GB model and CNY 5,999 ($893) for the 32GB model. [Apple]

Apple is ready to launch the new iPhone 4 in 17 more countries on July 30th, 2010. Beginning this Friday, customers can purchase the iPhone 4 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. The handset will be available for purchase through Apple’s retail and online stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.
