Unicom and Apple have signed an agreement regarding the release of iPhone 3G in China. The country’s second largest mobile carrier will release the iPhone 3G in 8GB and 16GB models. For your info, the smartphone is already available in China, but only on the grey market, where it is sold for prices between 3,600 and 4,000 CNY ($526 – $585). China Unicom’s iPhone 3G will be released in October 2009. The 8GB will cost 2,500 CNY ($365) with a monthly plan of at least 186 CNY ($27) and a contract agreement for 2 years. [Sina]

Sirius XM today unveiled its in-car XM SkyDock that will turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into a satellite radio. The gadget comes equipped with a built-in FM transmitter for relaying the music to your car stereo. The XM SkyDock relays that music via Sirius XM’s new PowerConnect system, which transmits the FM signal through your car’s electronics system rather than over the air to provide better audio reception. You are lucky if you are living in South Korea because Apple’s iPhone 3G S will be released via KTF, the country’s second largest carrier. Kim Yeon-hak, KT Group’s CFO, has confirmed the availability of the highly anticipated smartphone in Korea. Sadly, there is no info on pricing or release date so far.
