
China Mobile is ready to launch the BlackBerry Curve 8910 that uses an optical trackpad, instead of an ordinary trackball. The Chinese version of BlackBerry Curve 8910 is similar to the original Curve 8900. The smartphone runs on BlackBerry OS 5 and features a 3.2MP digital camera on the back. What’s more, the handset apparently features something called Evolved-EDGE, which is apparently designed to squeeze as much speed as technologically possible from a 2G connection. Verizon will launch the new BlackBerry Bold 9650 smartphone via online on June 3rd, 2010 and via Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on June 10th, 2010. There is also a non-camera model that will be available on June 3th, 2010. For your info, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 has a 480 x 360 pixels display, a full QWERTY keypad, an optical trackpad, Wi-Fi, Verizon Navigator 6, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, and a 3.2MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 is actually Verizon’s first global smartphone to support GlobalAccess Connect, so it can be used for tethering in more than 200 countries worldwide. GlobalAccess Connect plans are available for $65 monthly access for 5GB allowance in the United States and Canada ($0.05/MB overage) and 100 MB allowance in select countries ($5.12/MB overage). There is also a $155 monthly access option that offers 5GB allowance in the United States and Canada and 200MB allowance in select countries, with the same overage rates as the $65 monthly option. Still remember the White BlackBerry Bold 9700 that we mentioned last month? RIM is ready to release this handset in Canada via Rogers. As a reminder, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 boasts a QWERTY keyboard, a 2.4-inch (480 x 360) transmissive TFT display, Wi-Fi, GPS, and a 3.2MP camera. The smartphone comes with a built-in 256MB of storage capacity, which is upgradable via a MicroSD card slot (up to 32GB). Sprint has begun selling the all new BlackBerry Bold 9650 on their network. You could pick one up for $199 with a 2-year contract agreement and after a $100 mail-in-rebate. AT&T will launch the new BlackBerry 9800 in the States. Word has it that this new handset will feature 3G, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and a 360 x 480 pixels display.
