
Panasonic has recently released the Lumix Phone P-05C in Japan via KDDI. It is claimed to be the world’s first camera phone with an optical image stabilization. The Panasonic Lumix Phone P-05C features a bright f/2.8 wide-angle lens, several digital filters such as Miniature, Soft focus and Pinhole and Full HD video recording capabilities. Nokia has unveiled the C5-00 5MP, which is actually the C5-00 with a few things added. Weighing at 95 grams, the new handset features a 5MP digital camera, a 256MB RAM, and a 270MB of internal storage. The Nokia C5-00 5MP also has a 2.2-inch (240×320) display, GPS, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, an FM radio, quad-band GSM, dual-band WCDMA (900/2100) with 10.2Mbps HSDPA and 2Mbps HSUPA and a 1050mAh battery. The FCC has unveiled the Nokia N950, which will be available in the US very soon. The MeeGo phone features a superb 12-megapixel AutoFocus camera, a QWERTY keyboard, a 4-inch (480 x 854) LCD display, a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, a 1GB of RAM and Bluetooth 2.1. Taiwan-based Altek is ready to release its first Android smartphone, the A14 Leo. What makes this handset interesting is that it has a superb 14MP AutoFocus camera with a Xenon flash and a 3x optical zoom. Powered by the Google Android 2.1 Eclair, the Leo also features a 3.2-inch WVGA multitouch capacitive display, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSDPA, GPS, an 800MHz processor and a microSD card support. The Sharp AQUOS Shot 002SH camera phone from Softbank comes equipped with a 14.1MP digital camera, which is capable of recording 720p HD video. This waterproof phone (IPX5/IPX7) adopts the Sharp ProPix technology that allows the camera to take a picture in less than 0.5 seconds. The Sharp AQUOS Shot 002SH also features Auto Focus, face recognition and pet mode. What’s more, the handset also provides an HDMI out port, a 3.4-inch touchscreen display with a VGA resolution, a 123MB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a microSDHC cards slot for storage expansion. The Altek Leo will be available in Europe early next year. It is an Android-powered camera phone with a 3x optical zoom lens, a 14-megapixel CCD sensor and a 720p HD movie recording capabilty.
