Word has it that Nokia is working on a new camera phone as a successor to the Nokia N86 8MP. Dubbed as the Nokia N87 12MP, the slider phone will feature a 3.2-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display, a 16GB of internal memory, a 600MHz processor and a superb 12MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics plus dual LED and Xenon flashes. Word has it that Sony Ericsson will release their latest candybar phone namely the Sony Ericsson Susan. The camera phone will come with a 5MP shooter with a LED flash. The Samsung SCH-W880 is claimed as “the world’s first 12MP camera phone with a 3x optical zoom.” The handset also features a 6x digital zoom with auto focus, an image stabilization, a face detection, a Xenon flash and 720p video recording at 30fps. Nokia has finally released the Nokia N86 8MP dual-slider phone in the US market. It is no longer a pre-order on Amazon. Priced at $468.99, the Nokia N86 is actually Nokia’s new imaging flagship. The handset features an 8MP camera with dual-LEDs flash, GPS, S60 3rd edition FP2 operating system, a 2.6-inch QVGA OLED display, US 3G up to 3.6Mbps on the downlink, and WiFi connectivity. The 3G full touchscreen phone comes equipped with a high-resolution AMOLED display and supports high-quality video formats such as DivX, H.264, MPEG4, and AC-3. Sony Ericsson today introduced a new GPS-enabled phone namely the Sony Ericsson U10i. The UMTS HSPA phone comes jam packed with an 8.1MP digital camera with flash, a slide-out keypad, a microSD cards for storage expansions, a full touch screen display, Bluetooth, and a 1000mAh removable battery.
